Wild Rice Baron
- 2 c. raw wild rice
- 4 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 2 c. sour cream
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds (some for garnish)
- Gently cook wild rice, water and salt for 45 minutes.
- Drain. Brown ground beef and set aside.
- Rinse mushrooms and cut off tips of stems.
- Slice.
- Saute mushrooms, onions and celery in butter for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Combine soy sauce, sour cream, salt and pepper. Add cooked wild rice, browned hamburger, mushrooms, onion, and celery mixture and almonds.
- Toss gently.
- Place rice mixture in slightly buttered 3-quart casserole.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour uncovered.
- Stir several times.
- Garnish with almonds.
