Salisbury Steak W/ Mushroom Sauce

  1. Mix meat, salt and pepper; shape into oval patties. Cook over medium heat until done,about 8-12 minutes. Remove patties to a warm plate. Cook and stir mushrooms in same skillet until light brown. Stir in flour. Cook over low heat; stirring until mixture is bubbly. Remove from heat. Add enough water to reserved liquid to measure 1 cup. Stir liquid and bouillon into flour mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Boil and stir 1 minute. Pour over meat.
  2. Crockpot Version:
  3. Make with regular recipe. Shape into patties and brown. (They will NOT cook all the way) Make mushroom sauce as per recipe. Pour over meat. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until done.
