Southern Style Potato Salad
- 4 to 6 large potatoes (white)
- 1/2 c. finely chopped green peppers
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 tsp. Accent
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 c. red pimentos, diced
- 1/4 c. mustard (prepared)
- 1 c. salad dressing
- 1/4 c. chopped dill pickles
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1 small can maraschino cherries (to garnish)
- 1 tsp. black or white pepper
- 2 tsp. Morton Nature's Seasons
- 1 c. crisp fried bacon with rind, chopped
- Wash and boil potatoes until done.
- Peel, then mash potatoes. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, except seasonings, eggs and cherries.
- Toss, then add seasonings.
- Add 2 chopped eggs; use remaining egg to place on top of potato salad (sliced). Makes 8 to 10 servings.
