Grandmother'S Homemade Noodles
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 lb. fresh cod fillets
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 3/4 lb. saltine crackers
- salt and pepper
- 3/4 c. sliced almonds
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2/3 c. milk
- 2 c. white flour
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 lb. good whitefish (raw)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 2 or 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1/2 Tbsp. chopped celery
- 1/2 Tbsp. chopped garlic
- 1 tsp. each: salt and pepper
- Bone raw fish and run through food chopper.
- Add vegetables, salt and pepper.
- Stir in milk, crumbs and egg.
- Mold into loaf and bake, uncovered, in fairly hot oven for 1/2 to 3/4 hour. Serve accompanied with sauce.
