Nadine'S Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp. parsley
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 c. water or more
- Parmesan cheese
- spaghetti, cooked according to pkg. directions
- In Dutch oven or large pot, saute onion in oil.
- Add ground beef and stir while it's browning.
- Add pepper, tomato sauce and tomato paste.
- Add remaining ingredients, except cheese and spaghetti.
- Stir well.
- Simmer for 1 hour.
- Check it occasionally. Add more water if it's too thick.
- Serve over cooked spaghetti; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
