Decadent Rosemary And Garlic Bread
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 2 T yeast
- 2 c. white flour
- 2 c. wheat flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 T olive oil
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 2T fresh minced rosemary
- 2T olive oil
- Dissolve yeast in hot water
- Mix the flour, salt and olive in large bowl
- Add yeast/water mixture and stir together
- Dump out on floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic
- Let rise until doubled in size (approximately 1 hour)
- While waiting for the bread to rise, place minced garlic and rosemary in olive oil and bake at 200 for about 30 minutes. Add this during the second kneading.
- Punch down dough, knead slightly and form into loaf (you can use a loaf pan or roll it into a long loaf as in french)
- Bake at 375 for 35 minutes
