Seard Macadamia Tuna With Seaweed Salad
- Macadamia Seared Tuna with Seaweed Salad
- 5oz. #1 grade Tuna
- 2/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
- 1-tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil
- 6 - 2 inch wontons
- Seaweed Salad
- 1/2 cup prepared seaweed salad ( Found At any Asian market)
- 1/2 cucumber (peeled and seeded & julienne)
- 1 small carrot julienne
- 1 tablespoon pickled ginger
- 1 tablespoon julienne radish
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
- 1/2-teaspoon sesame oil
- For Tuna
- Marinate Tuna in soy sauce for 20 minutes then remove from marinade and towel dry. Combine macadamia and sesame seeds and roll tuna in mixture.
- Pan sear tuna 1 minute on each side. Serve medium rare. Slice 1/4 inch thick.
- For Seaweed Salad
- Toss prepared seaweed salad with all ingredients and set aside.
- Assemble
- Fry wontons until golden brown, top with a tablespoon of seaweed salad and then with sliced tuna. Serve with baby lettuce and wasabi mustard and soy sauce. Serves 2
