Best Ever Cinnamon Rolls
- 2 packages yeast
- 1/3 cup oil
- 2 1/2 cups lukewarm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 5 1/4 cups flour
- 1 cup flour
- 3 eggs
- soft butter, sugan & cinnamon
- Glaze:
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1/2 stick melted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk
- In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water 3 minutes. Add cake mix, 1 cup flour, eggs, oil and salt. Beat well until bubbles appear. Add 5 1/4 cups flour, slowly. Stir until soft dough forms. Knead on well-floured surface about 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl: let rise until double in bulk. Punch down dough; divide into 2 equal parts. Roll out each section on lightly floured surface, approximately 24" by 18". Spread with softened buter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up like jelly roll. Cut with dull knife or dental floww into 1" thickness. Place in a greased baking pan and allow to rise until doubled. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes. Combine glaze ingredients and drizzle over rolls while still hot.
