Orange French Toast

  1. Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
  2. Mix together first seven ingredients. Pour into large shallow dish.
  3. Cut bread diagonally into 1-inch slices.
  4. Soak bread 1 minute on each side.
  5. Brown the slices in butter over medium-low heat in a large skillet.
  6. When all are browned, place on cookie sheet (in single layer) and bake 20 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven; sift powdered sugar over toast.
  8. Serve with heated maple syrup.
  9. Crisp, not soggy, perfect for a large group since it's all ready at the same time.
