Slow Cooker Orange Chicken
- One green and one red bell pepper chopped.
- One small bunch of green onions cut on the diagonal.
- 2 to 3 carrots cut on the diagonal
- 2 cups Mandarin orange segments
- 8 ounces orange juice
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 to 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- chicken breasts or thighs
- 1/3 cup flour
- Coat the chicken pieces with flour and then brown in a skillet with olive oil. The chicken does not have to be cooked completely.
- Place the chicken pieces in the bottom of the crock-pot.
- Mix the remaining ingredients together and then pour over the chicken pieces. Gently stir ingredients together. Cook for 5 to 6 hours on low.
