Harvest Pork Chops
- 6 pork chops (thick)
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 medium baking apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 c. apple cider
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cube or tsp. chicken bouillon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. apple cider
- In large skillet, brown pork chops in butter.
- Remove and set aside.
- Cook apples and onions in skillet drippings until onion is tender.
- Stir in cider, water, brown sugar, bouillon, salt and pepper.
- Return pork to skillet and simmer, covered, for 30 to 35 minutes, until pork chops are tender.
- Combine cornstarch and apple cider; stir into hot liquid.
- Cook until mixture thickens. Serve with rice.
- Serves 6.
