Beef Stroganoff
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 lb. lean stew beef
- garlic (optional)
- 1/4 c. butter or oleo
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 can mushroom pieces
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can condensed chicken and rice soup
- 1 c. sour cream
- parsley
- Combine flour, salt and pepper.
- Trim fat from meat; rub with garlic.
- Cut into bite size pieces.
- Pound flour mixture into both sides of meat.
- Add onion and brown.
- Add water and undiluted chicken/rice soup.
- Cook uncovered over low heat for an hour or so.
- Before serving, add mushrooms, mushroom soup (undiluted), parsley and about 1 cup sour cream.
- Careful not to boil.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
