Stuffed Quahoug

  1. melt butter
  2. shuck clams, reserving juice & shells
  3. Grind clams and chop onion & garlic
  4. fry onion & garlic in butter until golden
  5. Break up loaf of bread into a lg bowl
  6. moisten bread w/ reserved clam juice
  7. add eggs, sugar, S&P, garlic salt & poultry seasoning
  8. add onion & garlic mix and ground clam
  9. mix well
  10. Stuff 1/2 of quahoug shell fully & top with other 1/2.
  11. Wrap in foil
  12. Bake 30 minutes @ 350 with small amount of H20 in bottom of pan.
  13. If you want spicy hot stuffing add crushed red pepper
  14. You can freeze after stuffing
  15. If you prefer crusty top fill each half and do not wrap in foil.
  16. Nana's were moist & lush-Yummy
