Stuffed Quahoug
- 20 Quahoug
- 1/4 lbbutter
- 2 good sized onions
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- loaf of white bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- s & P
- garlic salt
- poultry seasoning
- melt butter
- shuck clams, reserving juice & shells
- Grind clams and chop onion & garlic
- fry onion & garlic in butter until golden
- Break up loaf of bread into a lg bowl
- moisten bread w/ reserved clam juice
- add eggs, sugar, S&P, garlic salt & poultry seasoning
- add onion & garlic mix and ground clam
- mix well
- Stuff 1/2 of quahoug shell fully & top with other 1/2.
- Wrap in foil
- Bake 30 minutes @ 350 with small amount of H20 in bottom of pan.
- If you want spicy hot stuffing add crushed red pepper
- You can freeze after stuffing
- If you prefer crusty top fill each half and do not wrap in foil.
- Nana's were moist & lush-Yummy
