All-In-One Ham And Scalloped Potatoes
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp. each dried thyme and salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
- 3 cups Milk
- 1 tbsp. grainy or Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 cups diced smoked ham
- 6 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (about 3 lbs.)
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Lightly butter 13 x 9 inch glass baking dish.
- In large pot, melt butter over medium heat; add garlic and onion, thyme, salt and pepper.
- Cook, stirring for about 5 min. or until thickened.
- Remove from heat, stir in ham. Add potatoes, toss gently to coat in sauce.
- Spread evenly into prepared dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, for about 50 min. or until golden and bubbling and potatoes are tender.
- Let stand for 10 min. before serving.
