Fettuccine With Green Beans, Walnuts & Sage

  1. In a large skillet, saute walnuts in 1 Tablespoon butter or margarine until golden; set aside.
  2. In same skillet, heat remaining 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine; saute ham and garlic until garlic is golden.
  3. Add water, milk, pasta and contents of seasoning packet; bring just to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  5. Add green beans* and simmer 7-10 minutes longer.
  6. Stir in walnuts, sage, 1 Tablespoon Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Before serving, top with remaining 2 Tablespoons Parmesan cheese.
  8. *If green beans are thick; add at the beginning of cook time.
