Stuffed Peppers (Basic)

  1. Saute onions and garlic until clear.
  2. Combine 1/2 the onions and garlic, 1/2 cup rice, salt and pepper with ground beef.
  3. Slice the peppers in half and clean out the seeds.
  4. Stuff the split peppers with the ground beef mixture
  5. Place the stuffed peppers in a casserole filled with the remaining onions and garlic and the canned tomatoes or sauce.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil
  7. Cook in preheated oven set to 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil. Spoon the sauce over the peppers and cook an additional 15 minutes or until no redness remains in beef.
