Turkeyloaf
- 1 lb extra lean ground turkey breast
- 1/4 cup steel cut oatmeal
- 1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes
- 3/4 medium yellow onion
- 1 large egg
- 3 tbsp dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp tobasco sauce
- 1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- 2. Dice the onion.
- 3. In a large bowl combine all ingredients and mix well.
- 4. Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat lightly with an olive oil cooking spray.
- 5. Form the turkey mixture into a loaf on the baking sheet.
- 6. Bake for one hour or until thermometer inserted into center registers 170u0b0.
- 7. Let the turkeyloaf stand for five minutes before serving.
- 8. Store any extra in the refrigerator or freezer. Sometimes this tastes better on day two.
