Beef In Cheese Mushroom Sauce
- 1 pound steak cubed
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can milk
- 8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 large celery stalk coarsely chopped
- 1 small container sour cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- olive oil for sauteing
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- Heat olive oil in large frying pan. When hot, saute the garlic until fragrant and remove. Add celery and onion and saute until soft and remove from heat. Saute the meat until nearly done and remove from pan. Wipe pan to remove excess oil and return the meat, celery, onion and garlic to the pan. Add the cream of mushroom soup, milk and cheese. Stir to blend. Simmer over low heat until the meat is just about done. Stir in sour cream. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes or french fries.
