Lasagna
- 1-pound Italian sausage
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 TBSP fresh basil
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups of tomatoes, diced
- dash of sugar
- 2 6oz cans tomato paste
- 1-cup water
- 3 cups fresh ricotta
- 2 eggs
- 2 TBSP parsley flakes
- 1/2 cup grated romano or parmesan cheese
- 1tsp salt
- 1 pound mozzarella, sliced thin (or grated)
- 10oz lasagna noodles
- 1.Brown sausage, drain fat.
- 2. Add diced tomato, garlic, basil, salt, sugar, and tomato paste with 1 cup of water.
- 3. Cover and simmer for 2 to 4 hours. Stir often.
- 4. Preheat oven 375u0b0
- 5. Beat eggs.
- 6. Add ricotta, parmesan and parsley.
- 7. Cook pasta in gently boiling water for 9 minutes. Drain
- 8. Layer a 13 by 9 by 2-inch pan:
- - Lasagna noodles
- - Ricotta mixture
- - Meat sauce
- - Mozzarella
- 9. Repeat.
- 10. Bake for 30 minutes
- 11. Set aside for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Tastes great with cheap rose and garlic bread.
