20 Minute No-Bean Turkey Chili
- 2-3 tbsp. olive oil, organic
- 1.5 lbs turkey
- 1 medium red onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 5-6 celery stalks, organic
- 3 large carrots, organic
- 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce, no salt added
- 1.5 cups chicken broth, organic low sodium
- 1 can chili peppers in adobo sauce
- In large sauce pan (we used our cast iron skillet) warm up your olive oil and begin browning the turkey meat. As the meat is browning, chop up all the veggies and the garlic and add them to the meat. Once added, cook about 10 minutes or until softened.
- Chop up 3-4 of the chili peppers (more or less depending on your spice preference) and mix with the tomato sauce. Pour in the tomato sauce/chili mixture in with the meat and vegetable mixture and add in chicken (or veggie) broth. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer until thickened. This may take anywhere from 7-12 minutes.
- We ate ours with tortilla chips as utensils and cheddar cheese on top. Enjoy!
