Sweet Cardamon Hummus
- 1 14 oz can Chick Peas (drained and rinsed)
- 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Sesame Tahini Paste
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 tbsp Pure White Unprocessed Honey
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 Cardamon pod (seeds only)
- 2 cloves Garlic
- In miniature blender or food processor combine all ingredients except for chick peas. Process on high until consistent liquid is formed; aprox. one minute. Then add Chick Peas to liquid mixture and process until desired consistency is reached; aprox. two minutes. If hummus is too thick, thin with lemon juice, and if too thin, thicken with additional chick peas.
- May be served immediately but is most flavorful when chilled for an hour or two prior to serving. Recipe can be multiplied for parties.
- Serve in dip bowl with pita chips, crackers or with fresh dipping veggies.
