Green Bean And Ham Soup

  1. Simmer the Ham bone in the water for 2-3 hours, till its fragrant and the ham bits are falling off the bone. Remove the bone and when cool, remove all the ham from it , chop and put back in the broth. Add the rest of the ingredients for the soup and simmer till flavours blend and vegies are done.
  2. Pistou:
  3. Mix the garlic, pesto sauce, olive oil and parmesan well. Press into a small bowl and serve on the table with ladled soup, eveyone can take 1/2 - 1 teaspoon pistou per bowl, stir it in to allow the cheese to melt and the fresh garlic/pesto to incorprate into the soup, Enjoy!
