Sambucca Soaked Shrimp
- Peeled and Devained Large Shrimp
- Bacon or prosicutto
- Sambucca
- wooden skewers
- course peper and kosher salt
- Peel and devaine the shrimp leaving the tail on
- Wrap a piece about 3 inches long of bacon or prosicutto around the shrimp.
- Thred through wooden skewers that have been soaked in Water for 1/2 hour prior
- Face tails in same direction You can fit at least 4 Shrimp on each skewer.
- Salt and pepper
- Place in a glass baking pan and pour Sambucca over the shrimp
- Bush the liquid on the shrimp to evenly coat
- Marinate for up to 1/2 hour
- When ready to serve, Place on a hot grate . Cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. They will have a lovely carmelized look them . Use a pair on yongs to turn and handel.
- serve them hot on the skewer. No need for any sauce to accompany
shrimp, bacon, wooden skewers, course peper
