Mexican Turkey Chili

  1. -Brown turkey in large pot over medium heat
  2. -Add salt and pepper and 1 tablespoon chili powder
  3. -Add onions, celery, and half the jalapeno and habanero, allow to become soft.
  4. -Add garlic
  5. -Add tomato paste and stewed tomato
  6. -Add water and bring to a boil
  7. -Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally
  8. -Add rest of chili powder and rest of peppers
  9. -Simmer another hour, stirring occasionally
  10. -Drain beans and add to pot
  11. -Simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally
  12. note: if chili appears to become too thick, add 1 cup water. If after 3 hours chili is too thin, simmer longer and add 1 tablespoon more chili powder.
