Refrigerator Stew
- All Leftover meats- No matter how they're cooked (1-1 1/2 lbs makes this a hearty meat stew)
- All Leftover Veggies (Corn,Greenbeans,Tomatoes,Celery Potatoes (not mashed),Beans (not baked),Peas,Carrots.
- 1 28oz can diced tomatoes
- 2 Medium Potatoes
- Look for other left overs such as Rice, small amounts of Pasta, etc.
- 1/2 Medium Onion
- You'll need a 4-6 quart pot!
- Debone any bone-in meats, dice all meats into bite size peices. Put Meat, Canned Tomatoes, and all leftover Veggies, Rice, Pasta, or whatever else you've found in the pot. According to what you have you'll now need to add the Potatoes if you don't already have any in it or if you have quite a bit of rice or pasta you'll want to skip them.
- Cut onion in half, thinly slice, place in pot.
- Add enough water to completely cover the contents of the pot. Put on stove top on High and boil for about 20 minutes. Taste the stew to see if you need to add salt. You may also want to add season salt, lemon pepper, and/or garlic for flavor. This depends on how your meats were cooked previously. It's important to wait for seasoning until this point because of the seasonings from the pre-cooked food.
- Usually you just need to salt to taste. If the meat flavor isn't hearty enough I like to add beef boullion.
no matter, greenbeans, tomatoes, potatoes, overs, onion
