Ground Beef Gumbo

  1. Cook beef, onion, celery, green pepper and garlic in heavy Dutch oven until meat is brown; drain.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  3. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour. Remove bay leaves. Serve over hot rice.
  4. Makes 1 1/2 quarts gumbo.
