Banana Split Cake
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 stick melted butter or margarine
- 2 cups confectioners sugar
- 2 stick softened butter or margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups well-drained crushed pineapple
- 4 or more bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- Marachine cherries halves for adornment
- Combine graham cracker crumbs with melted butter or margarine; mex well. PLress firmly & evenly in bottom of 13" x 9" baking dish. In large bowl, mix 2 cups confectioners sugar with 2 sticks of softened butter or margarine and the vanilla. Beat for 20 minutes. DO NOT UNDERBEAT! Spread mixture over graham cracker crust. Spread 2 cups well-drained pineapple over creamed mixture; spread sliced bananas over pineapple close together to cover pineapple layer. Cover with thawed whipped topping such as Cool Whip. Sprinkle top with chopped walnuts and Marachino cherry halves.
