Jared'S Opening Day Ribs
- 2 racks pork spare ribs
- 3 tbsp salt
- 3 tbsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 c hot sauce (wing style works best)
- 2 c white vinegar
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 tbsp steak sauce
- dash of Worcestershire sauce
- Pre-heat oven to 225.
- Mix:
- salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper
- Coat both sides of ribs with dry rub. Place ribs on foil covered cookie sheet.
- Place coated ribs in oven for 2 1/2 hours, flipping every 30 minutes.
- Cut cooked ribs off rack individually and let cool a bit.
- Marinade:
- Mix hot sauce, white vinegar, sugar, steak sauce, dash of Worcestershire sauce.
- Place ribs into 1 gallon ziplock bags (approximately 1 rack per bag) and add half of the marinade to each bag.
- Let sit in fridge overnight.
- Place ribs on hot grill (charcoal works best) for approximately 15 minutes, turning once.
