Sweet And Sour Baked Beans
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. bacon drippings
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. dark molasses
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. chili sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 dashes Tabasco sauce
- 1 lb. navy beans, cooked and drained
- 1 (13 1/2 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained and cut in half
- 1/2 c. chopped sweet pickles
- 1/4 c. sliced stuffed olives
- Saute onion and garlic in bacon drippings in skillet until tender (do not brown).
- Stir in celery, brown sugar, molasses, tomato sauce, chili sauce, salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce.
- Simmer uncovered 20 minutes.
