Sweet Chilli Lemon And Garlic Chicken Wings
- 7 to 9 Chicken Wing Pieces
- 2 tsp Paprika
- 2 tsp of mixed herbs
- 1 Large Sweet Chilli
- 1 medium sized lemon
- 1/2 Garlic Bulb
- Chicken seasoning (OXO)
- Pinch Salt
- Pinch Pepper
- Pre heat oven to 180 oC / 350 F
- Preparation stage one
- - Wash chicken wings in cold water
- - Massage seasoning into the skin along with the paprika.
- - Add mixed herbs
- - Place the seasoned wings into a shallow glass or ceramic baking dish evenly then spinkle a pinch of salt and pepper onto the top
- Stage 2 preparation
- - Peal 5 to 6 cloves of Garlic (set aside temporarily)
- - Take a whole lemon and chop into thin segments leaving the peal on.
- Combine the garlic and the lemon and mix into the chicken wings.
- Stage 3 Preparation
- - Take the sweet chilli cut in half and scoup out seeds.
- - Once this is done cut the chilli length ways into long thin strips place on top of the chicken wings lemon and garilic.
- Cover the chicken wings with aluminium foil and put in the oven for 35 minutes.
- After they have been cooking for 35 mintutes remove the foil and place back into the oven for a further 20 minutes (this allows the chicken to crisp)
- Serve chicken with the chillis and lemon but remove the garlic.
- Best served with sauted new potatoes and side salad.
