Country Brunch
- 16 slices firm white bread
- 2 1/2 cups cooked cubed ham
- 16 ounce shredded cheddar cheese
- 16 ounce shredded mozzarella cheese
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Topping:
- 3 cups uncrushed cornflakes
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Trim crusts from bread and cut in half. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan and layer as follows - 1/2 bread, 1/2 ham and 1/2 of each cheese. Repeat layers. Combine eggs, milk, and seasoning. Pour over layers. Refrigerate over night. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
- Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over casserole.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Cover loosely with foil to prevent top from over browning. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes before cutting.
