Sesame Orange Shrimp
- 3 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp canola
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 2 tbsp reduce sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 scallion thinly sliced
- Whisk sesame seeds, egg whites, corn starch, salt and pepper in lg bowl. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Heat 1 tbsp oil in large skillet over medium heat, add 1/2 shrimp and cook until golden. Transfer to paper towel to drain. Repeat with remaining oil and shrimp. Add orange juice, sherry, soy sauce and sugar to pan. Bring to boil and cook, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened and reduced by half 4-6 minutes. Return the shrimp to pan, stir to coat with the sauce. serve immediately (over rice) with scallions sprinkled over top.
