Simple Apple Pie

  1. Preheat the oven at 350 degrees. Peel, core and cut the apples into 8 pieces. Using the slicer on a grater, thinly slice the apple pieces.
  2. Place the first crust in a 9 inch pie plate. Place all of the apple slices in the pie. (It will look like too much apples, but it isn't. They cook down a lot) pour the melted butter all over the apples, then pour the sugar and cinnamon over the pie.
  3. Slice the second pie round into strips to make a lattice crust.Form the lattice over the top of the pie, press the edges, and trim off the excess. Bake for 20 minutes then remove and pour jam over the top. Use a brush to make sure the top is evenly coated. Put the pie back in for 8 minutes. If the pie has too much liquid, remove with a baster and let cool.
