Fernandez'S Extreme Nachos

  1. On a large platter, place a layer of chips, followed by lettuce, quartered tomato and sliced onion.
  2. Slice and saute one onion and the green pepper; set aside.
  3. Brown and drain the hamburger.
  4. Mix the hamburger with refried beans and heat.
  5. Spoon the hamburger-refried bean mix over the chips and vegetables. Place the sauteed onion and green pepper over the hamburger-refried beans.
  6. Cover with green chilies, black olives and cheese.
  7. Broil until the cheese melts.
  8. Garnish with hot peppers; start dipping into your favorite salsa (mine is made with habanera peppers).
  9. Be sure to have plenty of Mexican beer around!!
