Country Apple Prune Cake

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, oil and eggs for 2 minutes at medium speed.
  2. Blend in apples.
  3. Combine dry ingredients and gradually beat into egg mixture.
  4. Stir in prunes and nuts.
  5. Spoon into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  6. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan for 15 minutes.
  8. Invert onto wire rack to cool.
  9. Just before serving, dust cake with confectioners sugar.
