Honey Wheat Bread

  1. Mix yeast lukewarm water, and honey and stir two min. add 4 C. white flour, beat with electric mixer until smooth. Cover and place in a warm spot away from drafts. Let rise until double in bulk, about 1 hour. While dough is rising, melt butter, 1 T salt, hot water and brown sugar. Cool until lukewarm. When mixture has risen, stir with a large fork and blend with butter mixture. Combine remaining white flour and whole wheat flour; add to previous mixture. Knead with as little flour as possible for about 15 min. Cover. Let rise utnil double in bulk. Knead down. Shape into loaves and let rse until double in bulk. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 50 minutes.
