Grandmas Banana Bread
- 1/2 Cup of Canola Oil
- 1 Cup of Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Cups of Plain Flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
- 3/4 Teaspoon of Backing Soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
- 1/4 Cup of Milk
- 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla extract
- 1 Cup of Mashed Banana
- Optional-
- 1/2 Cup of Chocolate chips or a mix of cranberries, walnuts and chocolate chips.
- Preheat oven at 360*
- Canola oil and sugar, add eggs and beat.
- Add sifted flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt alternately with milk, vanilla and bananas. (add chocolate, cranberries and walnuts if it is wanted)
- Pour into well-greased medium sized loaf pan (8.5 x 4 is recommended). Bake at 350* for 1 hour (+ 10 more minutes if needed) Or until inserted toothpick comes out dry.
