Pancakes
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 Tbsps oil or melted butter
- 1 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- To Make Walnut Pancakes:
- 1/4 cup walnuts - finely chopped
- 2 Tbsps sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Whisk together the egg, buttermilk and oil or melted butter.
- Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Heat griddle and brush with butter if needed.
- Stir liquid into dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
- Pour onto hot griddle.
- When bubbles form, turn once and cook until golden.
- To Make Walnut Pancakes:
- Stir together the walnuts, 2 Tbsps sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle onto pancake after poured and before turned over.
- Many different things can be added to the pancakes Such as:
- blueberries, bananas, chocolate chips.
