Almond Pinecone
- 1 1/4 Cups Natural Almonds Whole
- 1 8 Ounce Pkg Cream Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
- 5 Bacon Slices
- 1 Tablespoon Green Onion, Chopped
- 1/2 Tsp Dill Weed
- 1/8 Tsp White Pepper
- Roast almonds on cookie sheet, 300 degrees, for 15 minutes. Cool
- Combine softened cream cheese and mayonnaise; mix well. Add bacon, onion, dill and pepper; mix well. Cover and chill overnight
- Form cheese mixture into shapes of two pinecones on a base of foil or plastic wrap. Place on a bed of decorative lettuce or leafy cabbage on a serving platter.
- Beginning at narrow end, press almonds into cheese mixture forming rows. Continue overlapping rows of almonds until all cheese is covered. Each pinecone makes 1 1/2 cup.
- Garnish with artificial or fresh pine springs at the back of cone.
- Service with your favorite crackers.
