Dutch Macaroni And Cheese
- 500g Macaroni
- 250g ham (low fat)
- 350-400g Cheese (gouda)
- 2 large white onions
- 3-6 cloves of garlic
- breadcrumbs
- Pre-heat the oven (preferably with grill) to 200C. Boil the macaroni. While boiling the macaroni, cut the onions and garlic into small pieces, and put in a large bowl. Cut the ham into small squares, and put in the same bowl. Take a large handful of cheese, put it in the bowl and mix thoroughly. After draining the macaroni, mix this in too.
- Put the mixture in a large, oven-proof dish (with some olive oil to avoid sticking!), and sprinkle the rest of the cheese evenly over the top. Take a small handful of breadcrumbs and distribute evenly. If it is not enough, take some more, just make sure all of the food is dusted. Put in the oven until the top is brown and crispy. Serve.
