Baked Turkey Bowl
- 1 large sourdough round bread roll
- 1/2 lb sliced deli turkey meat
- 1 tomato - sliced
- 1/2 red onion - sliced
- 1/2 cucumber - sliced
- 2 cups of baby spinach
- 12 oz mozzerella cheese - shredded
- 1/2 cup italian dressing
- Salt & Pepper
- 1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
- 2. Slice top of bread roll & set aside. Remove "guts" of bread roll from main "bowl" & "lid" - disgard (or keep for breadcrumbs!)
- 3. Coat inside of bread bowl with Italian dressing - more than 1/2 cup may be necessary depending on size of bowl
- 4. Place a layer of spinach @ bottom, top with layer of turkey, then tomatoes, then cucumber, then onion and top with cheese.
- place a light layering of cheese in between all other ingredient layers
- 5. Season accordingly.
- 6. Place "lid" on top of stuffed bread bowl. Wrap with aluminum foil.
- 7. Place on a sheet pan & bake for 45 mins - 1 hour.
- 8. Remove from oven, allow to sit for approx. 15 mins.in foil.
- 9. Remove foil & serve hot!!!!
