Chinese Pork Dumplings
- Dough:
- Meat mixture:
- ground pork
- green onion
- ginger
- soy sauce
- cooking wine
- olive oil (cooking oil)
- salt
- Combine well
- Veggie:
- cabbage, chopped very finely
- cilantro
- olive oil
- Dipping sauce
- A few cloves of garlic + vinegar (white or italian or chinese) + soy sauce + sesame oil
- Instructions:
- Add meat mixture to cabbage
- Mix well
- Add a large splash of sesame oil
- Add large sprinkle of sugar
- Add good amount of salt and continue mixing
- Dough instructions:
- Add flour on outside
- roll into ~4" cylinder, cut into large pieces
- Roll again into long 1" diameter cylinder
- Cut into 3/4" pieces
- Cover in more flour
- Make into cylinder and flatten with rolling pin (rotating to flatten on all sides)
- Leave center a little bit thicker (2.5" diameter)
- Add ~1 Tbsp of meat mixture, wet edges and fold in half.
- Use thumbs and squeeze edges towards center to form into crescent shape
- When ~40 complete, add to boiling water
- Bring to boil, add half cup cold water, and boil again x3
- Drain
ground pork, green onion, ginger, soy sauce, cooking wine, olive oil, salt, combine, veggie, cabbage, cilantro, olive oil, dipping sauce, vinegar
