Paul'S Chili Recipe
- 1 lb of ground turkey or crumbles
- 4 cloves of garlic (diced)
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped red bell peppers
- 2 chipolte peppers (diced)
- 2 jalapeno peppers (diced)
- 1 12 oz. bottle of dark beer
- 2 Tbs chili powder
- 2 tsp crushed cumin
- 2 tsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cans mild chili beans
- 3 15 oz. cans tomato sauce
- 2 oz. bittersweet chocolate
- 1 cup of noodles if you like.
- Begin to brown meat or crumbles. Then add garlic, onion, red pepper, chipolte, jalapeno.
- Saute for about 6 to 8 minutes. I like to add a 1/2 bottle of dark beer. Seems to help, especially with crumbles because they are a bit dry.
- Then add chili beans, tomato sauce, spices (and noodles if you want). Stir and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Before serving, stir in the chocolate until melted
