Best Ever Crab Cakes

  1. Hand pick dinner roll into very small crumbs discarding the crust.
  2. Take approx 20% of bread crumbs and sautee in butter in small frying pan until golden, not brown. Set aside.
  3. In large bowl mix balance of bread crumbs with parsley, worcestershire sauce, Old Bay, 1000 Island Dressing, mayo, egg, peppers, baking powder and olive oil or butter.
  4. Gently but thoroughly fold in crabmeat with large spoon.
  5. Sprinkle lightly with additional Old Bay, cover then chill.
  6. Pre-heat oven to 400* F
  7. Spoon crab mixture into individual one serving baking dishes then bake approx 12 minutes or until tops brown.
  8. Remove from oven and lightly sprinkle crabcakes with sauteed bread crumbs.
  9. Continue baking or broil until bread crumbs turn golden brown. Monitor closely, do not burn bread crumbs
  10. Delightful with a white burgundy!
