Chef Friends Pepper Steak

  1. Chef Friend Famous Pepper Steak"
  2. Very easy to make, I Guaranteeee; just grab yourself a beer or a glass of wine and invite some good Friend's over, tell them, to bring the French bread & Salad; Oh and some good red wine ~ now you have someone to do the dirty dishes!
  3. 3-4 lbs Chuck Steak- (cut the tuff parts out)
  4. Cut into 1-inch cubes, dredge in seasoned flour (season salt-pepper). Add 1-2 oz. Canola oil in large skillet, brown, add 2 med onions cut fine, cook with meat, till caramelized ~deglaze pan with 1/2 cup of good Merlot wine.
  5. Next transfer meat and onions, dripping- to Large Pot ~ add the rest of ingredients. 'Your doing Great!
  6. 1 or 2 Jalapeno peppers remove seeds, chop very-very fine (don't get on hands).
  7. 2 Poplano peppers-chop fine
  8. 2 red peppers-1 orange pepper cut lengthwise slivers
  9. 3 green peppers, -cut length wise slivers
  10. 10-clove's Garlic, slice in halve - 4 clove's chopped fine. (Total 14 cloves)
  11. 1 -20- oz can dice tomatoes
  12. 1 - 8 oz Coke (not diet)
  13. 32 oz Good- Beef broth - Optional if you have the $$ - add 1 package of button Mushrooms sliced in half.
  14. 5- tablespoons Worcestershire sauce- 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  15. Salt and Pepper . Add some Cajun Cologne- TABASCO to taste.
  16. Simmer on med low for 4-5 hrs ' stir often -do not let bottom burn!' Should have the consistency of very thick gravy.
  17. If to thin, cook with top off, to thick, add beef broth or some of the beer or wine you are drinking - if needed!
  18. Serve: over fluffy mash potatoes - or fluffy rice.
