Cream Cheese Breakfast Roll
- 4 c. plain flour (do not sift)
- 1 c. sour cream (heat and let cool)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. oleo, melted
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 pkg. yeast or 1 1/2 Tbsp. instant yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water (mix yeast with warm water)
- 2 (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. flavoring (almond, vanilla, etc.)
- The next day mix all ingredients.
- Cut dough in 4 pieces; roll out to dinner plate size.
- Spread 1/4 cream cheese mixture over 1 piece of rolled out dough.
- Roll it up.
- Seal all seams and ends. Put seam on bottom.
- Put on greased pan.
- Let rise to double size, then bake at 375u0b0 for 15 minutes.
- Frost with icing.
- Repeat for other 3 pieces of dough.
