Chocolate Cream Cheese Cake
- 6 ounces softened cream cheese
- 1/2 cup & 4 tablespoon softened
- butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 6 1/2 cups powered sugar
- 1/3 cup room temperature milk
- 4 ounces unsweetened baking
- chocolate
- 3 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- - Cream together: cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter, and vanilla, till well mixed. Blend in chocolate.
- - Remove 2 cups mixture for frosting. Cover and refrigerate.
- - To remaining mixture add 4 tablespoons butter and blend. Add eggs one at a time mixing well after each additiion.
- - Sift remaining dry ingredients. Add them to the creamed mixture alternating with remaining milk.
- - Put the mixture into 2 greased and floured 9 inch cake pans and Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or till cake tester comes out clean.
- - Cool in pans on racks 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completly.
- - Take frosting out and keep at room temperature 15 minutes before frosting cake.
