Double-Chocolate Walnut Brownies

  1. Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 minutes; makes about 2 dozen.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate in medium saucepan over moderate heat (may also be melted in microwave oven).
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Mix in sugar; add eggs, one at a time.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Stir in flour.
  7. Stir in one cup of walnuts.
  8. Spread into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Mix rest of walnuts and chocolate pieces and sprinkle over top of brownie mixture, pressing down lightly.
  9. Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 minutes or until top springs back when pressed with fingertip. Cook completely in pan.
  10. Cut into bars.
