Pata Tim (Pork Hocks With Chinese Sauce)
- No.1 (Ingredients)
- 1 1/2 Kilo pork leg or hocks
- 8 cloves pounded garlic
- 2 pcs. big bay leaf
- 4 pcs. star anise
- 8 pcs. dried Shitake mushrooms
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 tbsp chinese cooking wine
- 2 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1/2 cup Maggie soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. sweet anise (optional)
- 1 cup water
- No. 2 (Ingredients)
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 2 tbsp. oyster sauce
- 1/4 kilo green beans
- Salt and pepper to taste
- No. 3 (Ingredients)
- 1/4 kilo lettuce leaves
- 2 sprigs of green onion leaves (chopped)
- 4 tbsp. cornstarch dissolve in water
- 1.) Put all (No. 1) Ingredients in a pot and let it boil. Once boiling, simmer for two hours.
- 2.) When pork is tender, put all (No. 2) ingredients in the pot and cook for 3 minutes or until green beans are tender.
- 3.) Pour in the cornstarch. Boil until the sauce is thick.
- 4.) Put in lettuce leaves. Let cook for 2 minutes or to your desired tenderness.
- 5.) Serve in a bowl and sprinkle chopped green onion leaves on top.
