Beef In Casserole
- 2 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 tsp. garlic juice
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 2 small cans tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 16 oz. carton sour cream
- 1 c. grated cheese
- 4 green onions (tops and all)
- 10 oz. pkg. medium egg noodles
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- Brown meat in butter; drain.
- Add garlic juice and simmer 20 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper and sugar and simmer 15 minutes.
- In separate bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream and chopped onions.
- Set aside.
- Cook noodles.
- In large casserole dish or 2 small ones, layer noodles, meat, grated cheese and sour cream mixture, in that order.
- Cover top with undiluted mushroom soup. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
- Let stand 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle extra cheese on top.
